Deepstream Case Study
|
Challenge: The AMCOR Fibre Packaging (AFP) division has more than 500 customers that place more than 100 order lines per annum, not trading electronically. Orders are submitted using fax, telephone, or e-mail. This process requires the re-entry of orders and incurs the cost of double handling, together with the risk of errors. Entering orders one line at a time via a web screen was too time consuming for these customers. Australia Meat Holdings (AMH) was one of the businesses trading with AFP that fit the above profile. A way was needed to reduce the effort required for creating & confirming orders for AMH. |

|
Success: AMCOR Fibre Packaging purchased a Deepstream Enterprise license and implemented the Deepstream Demand software on location at Australia Meat Holdings. The order entry process is greatly simplified and much faster! Read further to see what both electronic trading partners have to say about Deepstream. |

Australia Meat Holdings “Amcor Fibre Packaging delivers large quantity of boxes daily on short lead times. Manual ordering by faxing and line by line entry via the website was time consuming and inefficient, resulting in AMH staff being tied up in the ordering process rather than doing their day to day tasks. The Deepstream support for Microsoft Excel made the order entry process simple and easy for our operators – and has helped to ensure that we get our boxes on time.” |

Amcor Fibre Packaging “AMH orders are entered via Deepstream from AMH and are downloaded directly into our SAP system, with no need for re-keying by customer service. Also our warehouse staff are alerted within minutes of AMH placing the order on their side as to what their daily requirements are. This speeds up our supply chain process, keying and data errors are eliminated, and allows us to work within agreed business protocols” |
